Changemakers is in the process of becoming a Community Development Financial Institution. Community development financial institutions (CDFIs) are private financial institutions that are 100% dedicated to delivering responsible, affordable lending to help low-income, low wealth, and other disadvantaged people and communities join the economic mainstream. By financing community businesses—including small businesses, microenterprises, nonprofit organizations, commercial real estate, and affordable housing—CDFIs spark job growth and retention in hard-to-serve markets across the nation. Changemaker wants to engage our stakeholders in CDFI work. To do this Changemakers is opening up seats for our loan committee membership. We are looking for single parents, small business owners, community organization staff, bank employees, CPA or accountants. Participants can live anywhere in Hawai’i we conduct our meetings via Google Meet.

More Good Change

Many times facility design and construction happen separately from figuring out how an organization is going to pay for the facility.  At Changemakers, we develop an integrated team that includes the Development Director in the facility planning, design, and construction process.  The Development Director is developing creative facility finance portfolios.  This work occurs through our Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI).  

The CDFI Director of Development is responsible for working with ChangeBuilder Community Facility Development clients in planning, organizing, and directing their fundraising and financing for community facility renovations and construction.  The Director works closely with community organizations to secure funds for community facilities.

This position is remote and full-time. The annual salary range is $60,000 -$75,000 based on experience and training. To see the entire position description CLICK HERE
