Using Our Economic Power to Better Communities
Women have tremendous economic power. In fact, women are the primary breadwinners in 40% of households in the United States. When women have money, they can spend it on their families, their communities, and their own businesses.
When women use their economic power to make positive changes in their communities, everyone wins. Women are more likely to be financially secure, businesses have a stronger customer base, and communities are strengthened overall. By using our economic power for good, we can make a real difference in the world.
Women can invest in businesses of their own or that they care about. When we do run our own businesses making sure we provide equal pay and working conditions and are also environmentally sustainable.
Each of us has the ability to use our economic power for good in our own unique way. By supporting businesses that share our values, buying local, and donating to causes we care about, we can make a real difference in our communities.
We can also use our buying power to support local businesses and economies. When we spend our money at locally-owned businesses, more of that money stays in the community. This helps to create jobs and keep money in the local economy.
We can also get involved in politics and advocate for policies that matter like equal pay, childcare and education, affordable housing, and health care. When we use our voices and bank accounts collectively, we can make a real difference in the lives of women and families.
Women have power In today's world, it is more important than ever for women to come together and use our collective power to improve our communities. With so much at stake, we cannot afford to sit on the sidelines.
